Message From The
District Deputy Grand Master

I am both honored and humbled with being appointed District Deputy Grand Master of the Fulton-Montgomery Masonic District. It is a great pleasure for me to represent the M\W\ Jeffrey M. Williamson, Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York.

Your Staff for the next two years will be R\W\ Carlton Scutt, Staff Officer & Grand Sword bearer, V\W\ David Mosher, AGL and me, R\W\ Robert Swanker, DDGM. We look forward to working with all the Brothers of our Masonic District and with your help and support we believe that we can have a very successful year.

The M\W\ Jeffrey M. Williamson has outlined his Motto and Theme for his term. His motto for this term is a “Way of Life”. A Freemason practices courtesy and civility in society, honesty and fairness in business, kindness in the home, pity and concern for the unfortunate, resistance toward evil, help for the weak, forgiveness for those who transgress, love for one another, and above all…reverence and love for God. Freemasonry is all of these things, but most of all it is a “Way of Life”. His Theme for this term is Wiley Hall and he has made it his official charity. All proceeds for the Grand Master’s Lapel Pins and “Way of Life” wrist bands will benefit Wiley Hall. Please consider a generous donation that will enable us to uplift the spirits of our residents.

This past May, V\W\ David Mosher conducted a very successful Ceremony of Investiture, with the help of R\W\ William Farber and I thank both of them for their help and support. On Saturday, July23 R\W\ Carlton Scutt conducted a class for The Masters Chair on three new Masters and in the afternoon session we held a Town Hall Meeting with a nice turnout from the District.

We are very fortunate to have many Right Worshipfuls and Past Masters in our District with many years of Masonic knowledge. We also are very fortunate to have many young new members who are now Masters or Officers in their Lodges with many new ideas. We all need to work together for the benefit of our Craft, sharing our experiences but at the same time taking on new ideas that could benefit all of us going forward.

The Masonic Brotherhood Fund Drive for 2015-2016 has officially ended and again this year the Fulton-Montgomery District is number one in the state with percentage of members giving. A big thank you to all the Brotherhood Fund Chairmen for 2015-2016 for putting us on top again. A special thank you to all of those who donated, it is very much appreciated!

Please join me in my first Official Visit at Kennyetto Lodge #599 on Wednesday, September 28th. Looking forward to a great Chicken and Biscuits dinner.
